The suburb of Park Ridge has an approximate area of 17 km².

It is surrounded by the suburbs of Boronia Heights, Chambers Flat, Crestmead, Greenbank, Heritage Park, Logan Reserve, Park Ridge South and Regents Park.

It is comprised of parts of the council communities of Division 7, Division 8 and Division 9.

It is within the council of Logan.

It is within the state electorate of Logan.

It is within the federal electorate of Forde.
