Provides young people with knowledge of aviation leading towards qualifying for pilot's licence. Opportunity to fly in aeroplanes and gliders. Specialist subjects include theory of flight, meteorology, aero engines, aircraft construction, navigation and aircraft radio. Also develops team work, self-discipline and leadership skills.
