About Us
Assists low income households with education and support to reduce their energy bills and keep their homes comfortable.
An Outreach Officer visits people in their homes and provides a free assessment to determine the best ways to reduce their energy bills and make their household environment more comfortable. During an assessment, an energy officer will:
- perform an individual household energy assessment
- provide tailored advice to help reduce energy usage
- Provide advocacy for efficient appliance upgrades (where eligible)
- Provide a heated throw rug and cooling towel
- perform draught-proofing of the house
- provide new energy efficient products e.g. curtains and wool doonas (subject to additional eligibility requirements)
