About Us
The ASPECT THERAPT team provides a range of services to children and young people who have developmental delays or disabilities. We work across the ACTand surrounding areas of NSW.
We have a particular focus on supporting children develop their social communication and play skills, reduce challenging behaviour, and develop independence and confidence in everyday settings. Some of the people we work with are on the Autism Spectrum.
ASPECT is committed to working with families to support the development of their children. We do this by building relationships with the child, family and others involved with the child. We support families to identify priority goals and desired outcomes. We collaboratively design interventions that build on strengths and support the development of functional and important skills. ASPECT provides information to families and helps those interacting with the child to best support the child and make informed decisions about services and supports. We support children to actively engage in meaningful activities in naturalistic settings. We develop flexible and individualised intervention packages for each child where the frequency, intensity and skill mix of the therapists is jointly agreed. Families may choose a keyworker to co-ordinate all services. We regularly review the plan, and make changes as required.
