About Us

Program has been suspended until April

The Traffic Offenders Intervention Program (TOIP) is a short-term education program designed to inform traffic offenders about the importance of safe driving.

The goals of TOIP are to increase understanding of the factors associated with illegal and dangerous driving behaviours, provide the Courts with a credible sentencing or rehabilitative option and to ultimately create safer roads for all road users and to reduce the number of traffic offences committed in the ACT.

TOIP is successfully run in PCYC's across NSW and the ACT, and provides an opportunity for traffic offenders to evidence their commitment to responsible driving.

TOIP runs for six weeks and will be delivered out of Wanniassa, ACT, one evening per week. To enrol, you will be required to present in person at Canberra PCYC Erindale Centre during business hours to process payment and provide a form of photo identification.

Outcomes include:

  • Reduction in dangerous driving behaviours
  • Better understanding of the importance of road safety
  • Certificate of completion

PLEASE NOTE: The TOIP Program is not suitable for alcohol or drug-related traffic matters
