Queanbeyan City Pound

Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council operates an Animal Management Facility which is located on Old Sydney Road, Queanbeyan. The Facility is staffed by Council Rangers and they are responsible for:

• Operation and management of the Animal Pound
• Enforcement of the Companion Animals Act 1998 and Impounding Act 1993
• School education program
• Responding to domestic animal complaints
• Seizing roaming and nuisance animals
• Microchipping and registration

The Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council Animal Management Services seeks to re-house animals which are seized by Rangers or dropped off at the Facility. Should the animals not be claimed they may be available for sale. Animals for sale are profiled online.
