About Us

The word 'Nalingu' means 'you and me'. The centre's logo, 'the possum', is one of our best known animals and is closely associated with the Gungurri Tribe, originally from the Mitchell area in western Queensland.

Today Nalingu exists as a meeting place for people now living in the Brisbane north area.

The centre's facilities have been designed to meet the social, physical, cultural and spiritual needs of its people.

Trained staff are on hand to assist in a range of areas, particularly home care, centre-based respite activities and day outings.

The centre also promotes cultural activities and social support.

Quick Facts About The Region
