Stafford & District Meals on Wheels

Stafford Meals on Wheels is a not-for-profit, community based volunteer organisation working throughout North-West Brisbane.  We help the elderly, disabled and infirm live independently in their own homes by delivering meals to them each week day.  This enables the client to remain living at home for as long as possible, and to maintain and enhance their independence and quality of life; thereby preventing early or inappropriate admission to a hostel or nursing home.

Our 90+ volunteers deliver approximately 100 meals a day throughout our delivery area.  Volunteers who deliver meals also provide daily contact and a friendly face for many isolated people and are the backbone of our organisation.

Our meals are produced fresh daily in our kitchen by a qualified chef.
