About Us

Queensland Korean Orchestra (QKO) is a community orchestra that aims to bridge the cultural gap between Korea and Australia through music. Since being established in 2008, QKO has performed at various community venues such as retirement homes, art galleries, memorials and schools. It hosts a large concert annually that allows the Brisbane community to experience the traditional Korean culture in conjunction with renowned Western orchestral music. QKO recently formed Junior QKO which is an orchestra for musicians in primary school. Across the two orchestras, QKO currently has over 120 members.
