Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten Association Incorporated - Stafford

Emily Foord Memorial Kindergarten is affiliated with The Gowrie (Lady Gowrie).  This Centre is licensed by the Department of Education and Training under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011. We are administered by an elected committee of parents.

Have an approved constitution/set of rules.

Meet the following required standards:

- A qualified 3 to 4 year Registered Early Childhood Teacher

- An approved ratio of staff to children

- A building of approved design

-An approved outdoor play area

-Equipped with an extensive range of approved and suitable equipment for both indoor and outdoor play.

-Approved curriculum – Qld Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) and this guideline is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).  The EYLF is a national document for children 0-5 years.

-Have close parent/teacher co-operation.

-Funded by the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme, an initiative of the Queensland Government.
