Act for Kids – Wooloowin

Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect. We have helped thousands of children and families for over 27 years.

We have grown from just one part-time therapist in Brisbane to a team of almost 250 from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula. Our services have expanded to include integrated therapy, support for vulnerable families, special workshops to empower kids to speak out and safe houses in remote Indigenous communities.

All of our services are provided free of charge to clients, while we receive some government funding we rely heavily on donations and fundraising to expand and develop our services to reach out to more children and families in need. With your support, we can grow and expand into new regions so more kids can have a safe and happy childhood, free from abuse and neglect.
