The Moorooka Ward comprises the Southern suburbs of Acacia Ridge, Archerfield, Coopers Plains, Moorooka, Nathan, Salisbury, Tarragindi and parts of Annerley, Rocklea and Sunnybank.  It’s placed 7km from the city nestled at the base of Toohey Forest.

It’s a vibrant area with a mix of cultures.  The area is undergoing change and renewal with gentrification resulting in many young families seeking to make it their home.  The ward boasts over 80 parks with facilities, play and exercise equipment, as well as walking tracks through Toohey Forest, along Stable Swamp Creek, Oxley Common and shared pathways / bikeways  through Toohey Forest, Nathan, Salisbury, Rocklea, Coopers Plains, Moorooka and Tarragindi.

There is also a direct public transport link to Queensland University and a range of shopping areas including the rejuvenated Moorooka shopping strip.
