Queensland Injectors Health Network - Fortitude Valley

This is a six hour workshop, normally held on Saturdays, which focuses on understanding and coping with a family member, friend or partner who has co existing substance use and mental health issues. The workshop topics include what is dual diagnosis, the effects of various substances mental health diagnoses, interaction of substances and mental health stages of change, types of treatment, establishing boundaries using assertive communication, managing anger and coping stategies. Participants receive a workshop manual which also contains additional reading and resources.
