About Us

The Kenmore Carer Support Group of Parkinson's QLD Inc. will provide you with information about caring for a person with Parkinson's Disease, support, and valuable friendships. Meetings are held on the 4th Friday of every month at 1.00pm, located at the Kenmore Library. The Support Group runs every month.

Establishing the group resulted from conversations with caregivers to individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s, recognising the toll it took on them as a Carer. Caregivers might face emotional stress, struggle with feelings of loneliness, frustration, anger, guilt or confusion.

The aim of the support group is to create a safe environment where carers can share experiences and be supported without judgement. The group will explore what it is like to be a Carer and the various facets and repercussions of the caring experience. The group will be a confidential space; what you share will remain strictly between the group's members.
