Meals on Wheels - Acacia Ridge

Meals on Wheels is a community based service that prepares and personally delivers nutritious, balanced meals to eligible clients. Clients may be frail, aged, younger disabled and their carers, who find it difficult due to age, infirmity or medical condition to prepare their own meals. The service may be provided on a short or long term basis, subject to assessed need. GPs, Community Health Workers, Hospitals, Domiciliary Nursing Services, Families and Neighbours may refer clients to their local Meals on Wheels Service for appropriate assessment. Special diets such as Diabetes, Soft Serve and Food Intolerances are catered for.
