Caxton Legal Centre's Employment Law Service Evening Advice Sessions are by appointment only and take place on Wednesday evenings between 5.30pm and 8pm

We can give advice to clients who are:

1. Earning less than $67,000 or, if dismissed, were earning < $67,000 prior to their dismissal; and are
2. Seeking advice about dismissal, discrimination, sexual harassment and general protections breaches (for both dismissed and ongoing employees)

We are not able to help with:

1. Contracts, either at the outset of employment or during employment
2. Unpaid wages and entitlements disputes
3. Second opinions
4. Work cover and other injury related matters

We may be able to help someone who is not sure if they are a contractor or an employee, or who suspects they are a sham contractor - but will cease assisting if it becomes clear that the person is conducting a business (genuine contractors).
 
If someone is eligible for help or advice from a union, it is preferable that they are referred to their union.  For wages and entitlements disputes, we encourage referrals to the Fair Work Ombudsman.
