About Us

DRUG ARM is a charitable organisation that assists people (and their families) who have been harmed by alcohol or drug use. We do this through our street outreach vans, education in schools and the general community and an extensive resource centre. We have contact with over 50,000 people in need each year. Our vision: Reaching out; Reducing harm Our mission: Engage, Encourage, Empower; People and communities Our Street Outreach Services (SOS) and MOSHPIT are not government funded and rely on donations from companies, churches, groups and individuals so that they can continue to support the homeless and at-risk in our communities. Mobile Outreach Support and Health Project by Integrated Teams (MOSHPIT) is a mobile service that provides support to culturally diverse clients. The MOSHPIT van offers a fully equipped on-board health centre, providing dressings for minor wounds, checkups, referrals to other agencies and support in gaining housing if required. The support is provided by partner agencies for medical and mental health issues, accommodation supports, access to Centrelink and emotional support. Partners include: Spiritus, Centrelink, Mater Mothers, SQWISI and Biala Sexual Health.
