About Us
We are a independent community based Not For Profit cadet unit for boys and girls aged between 11 and 18 years. The unit has an ethos of SERVE, LEARN, and REMEMBER and is based on a military structure, values and disciplines. The Unit provides an Educational and Developmental Program giving direction to children towards high social and moral standards, self reliance and teamwork, self confidence, effective communication, leadership skills, community and military awareness.
The Logan City Community Cadet Unit aims to care for the needs and to develop the talents of each Cadet, irrespective of race, religion, ability or gender. It also encourages each child to understand our Australian Military History, in particular the efforts of past and present Australians who bore arms to protect our country. Provided in a mutually supportive and positive learning environment, cadets are encouraged to show unselfish concern for each other and to recognise their place as part of the community, assisting where and when possible in community activities.
The Unit parades every Wednesday from 6pm – 8.30pm at the Browns Plains Cadet Depot, in Acacia Park on Fern St, in Browns Plains. Parades are held only during the school term and are conducted by volunteers.
