About Us

The Islamic Women’s Association of Australia (IWAA) was established in 1991 to cater for the unmet needs of the multicultural community specifically Muslim women and their families. Since then IWAA has grown from strength to strength. While IWAA was originally established to assist women from the Muslim community, its focus has broadened and it now provides assistance and support to men, women and children (including non-Muslim people) from CALD backgrounds. The Association services a multicultural community including people from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian sub continent, Asia and the Pacific, as well as Australian and Indigenous clients.
