About Us

Special Message:

Pines Toastmasters is determined to continue providing educational opportunities to members in communication and leadership skills in the face of the COVID-19 situation.

The safety of each and every person is our primary concern so all meetings have the option for people to attend physically or virtually via the Zoom platform.

Pines Toastmasters Club wishes to thank the Moreton Bay Regional Council for provision of a grant enabling us to purchase audio visual and computer hardware to better facilitate hybrid meetings.

To date, we have received a high level of positive feedback in conjunction with our virtual meetings and so we are confident that we can continue to address your personal and professional development needs within the Toastmasters environment.

If you have an enquiry regarding Pines Toastmasters generally or wish to request the details regarding the next virtual meeting, please feel free to forward an email to [email protected].

We are proud of the role we play in supporting the personal and professional development goals of individuals within our community so join us at Pines Toastmasters as we work through these challenging times.

Why Toastmasters?

Do you want to develop charisma and establish a presence to earn respect in the workplace? What about getting your ideas across in a clear way with confidence? If so, Toastmasters is the place for you. You’ll find a supportive learn-by-doing environment that allows you to achieve your goals at your own pace. At Pines Toastmasters the Educational Program is based on a proven curriculum that enables you to develop your communication and leadership skills one step at a time. The program is built on four guiding principles that have been in place since Toastmasters was founded in 1924:

  • Experiential Learning–we learn by doing; by giving speeches and fulfilling leadership roles, we practice and improve
  • Self-paced Program–we learn best at our own pace and comfort level
  • Peer Feedback–through honest and supportive peer evaluation, we grow and improve
  • Mentoring–experienced members encourage, guide and support us in our goals and help us to achieve more than we thought possible

If you are looking to improve in one or more of these areas, Toastmasters is for you:

  • Expressing ideas clearly
  • Improving public speaking skills
  • Writing and delivering speeches
  • Improving self-confidence
  • Thinking quickly and clearly under pressure
  • Leading meetings
  • Listening effectively and critically
  • Evaluating others tactfully and constructively
  • Accepting helpful criticism gracefully
  • Keeping meetings running on time

Toastmasters is a low cost solution that yields high-quality results.

Every meeting is open to the public above the age of 18 years. You do not have to be a member to join us as a guest. All the members of this group are happy to share ideas, answer questions, collaborate, and problem solve when it comes to improving your oral and written communication and leadership skills. This group will provide resources for professional and personal development to both Toastmasters and non-Toastmasters. In all, look to us as a tool for finding opportunities to grow with others as a speaker and a leader.

Visit our website for details of when we meet or if you want to talk to a human you can speak to Mark on 0462156081.
