About Us

The Safe and Confident Living Program winner of the 2007 Gold Coast City Council Community Safety Awards (not for profit section), support older people in maintaining and extending their participation in their communities. The Programs aim is to assist older people who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation to reconnect with the community and improve their social participation. We assist older people to make choices regarding their independence and encourage confident living skills and practices. The program will provide information on social activities and services within the local area and also provide one on one support to develope social connections. The program also runs on a regular basis the very successful "Cooking for One or Two" program.
