About Us

The Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture (Foundation House) provides a range of services to refugees who have survived torture or war related trauma. This includes counselling, advocacy, family support, group work, psycho-education, information sessions and complementary therapies. Foundation House also provides secondary consultation, training/professional development and promotional roles aimed at developing and strengthening the resources of various communities and service providers in their response to survivors of torture and trauma. FH particularly works with schools and health care providers, as they are key services engaging with survivors of torture and trauma. A training request form is available on the website. Foundation House is non-denominational, politically neutral and non-aligned.
