Colac Otway Shire Community

Colac Otway Council has an approximate area of 3,400 km².

It is comprised of 56 suburbs including Aire Valley, Apollo Bay, Balintore, Barongarook, Barongarook West, Barramunga, Barunah Plains, Beeac, Bungador, Cape Otway, Colac, Colac East, Colac West, Coragulac, Cororooke, Corunnun, Cundare, Elliminyt, Eurack, Ferguson, Forrest, Gellibrand, Gerangamete, Glenaire and Grey River plus parts of another 14 suburbs.

It is comprised of the localities of Barwon Downs, Beech Forest, Carlisle River and Irrewillipe plus parts of Birregurra, Ombersley and Winchelsea.

It is surrounded by the councils of Corangamite Shire, Golden Plains Shire and Surf Coast Shire.

It is within the state electorate of Polwarth.

It is within the federal electorate of Corangamite.
