The locality of Stirling Range National Park has an approximate area of 1,100 km².
It is surrounded by the localities of Amelup, Cranbrook, Gnowellen, Kendenup, Kojaneerup South, North Stirlings, Takalarup, Tenterden and Woogenellup.
It is comprised of parts of the councils of Cranbrook, Gnowangerup and Shire Of Plantagenet.
It is within the state electorate of Wagin.
It is within the federal electorate of O'connor.
