Child Players ACT is a family run children's amateur theatre group that has developed drama-based programs for children aged between 8 and 18. The main program every year is Child Play a six-month program for children aged between 10-16, with a major theatre production in the July school holidays each year.

The Child Play group has produced high quality children's theatre productions including James and the Giant Peach in 2008, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in  2009, Peter Pan in 2010, The Jungle Book in 2011 and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 2012. Other programs run by Child Players ACT have included two-week school holiday drama programs, Improvisation and Theatre Skills training, Hating Alison Ashley in January 2009 and, for the first time in 2010, a teen play production of Mort by Child Play graduates.

The two week January school holiday programs and musical productions have now become a regular Child Players ACT activity. In January 2012 we performed The Pied Piper, an original adaptation by our Artistic Director BJ Anyos and Musical Director Georgia Pike and in January 2013 the group performed a very lively and popular production of Peter Pan.
