The main objective of the Società Dante Alighieri and the vision itself of the foundation is to share the Italian language and to maintain a passion for Italian culture among foreign and Italian people around the world.
With over 400 branches worldwide, the head office in Rome was founded in 1889 on the inspiration of the great Nobel prize winning poet, Giosuè Carducci.
