Coorparoo Quilters

Coorparoo Quilters Inc is a pioneering quilting group with a wide range of members and a proud 30+ year history of companionship, compassion and quilting expertise. Formed to support working women, we meet in the evening twice a month in Tarragindi (inner South East Brisbane). We are women from all walks of life, who assist in the development of people who enjoy making patchwork quilts - both amateur and professional - quilt store owners, machine embroiderers, and enthusiastic supporters of all things quilty. Our members are multi-talented also involved in numerous other crafts such as beading, knitting, crocheting and scrap-booking.

Coorparoo Quilters Inc is especially proud of our tradition of giving to the many deserving groups in the community. Over the past 30+ years Coorparoo Quilters' members have raised thousands for QLD Cancer as well as donating quilts to hospitals, fundraising for medical and disability support needs, supplying quilts to organizations such as Variety, Cerebral Palsy Society, and making place mats for Meals on Wheels and making smaller items such as bags for people in nursing homes and palliative care.
