parkrun - Calamvale

This is a 2.37 lap anticlockwise course. One lap is 2104m measured along the concrete path. Starting at the centre of the park where the main north/south and east/west paths cross, head east along the central path and over the raised walkway to Benhiam St, north to Ormskirk St, west to the Ormskirk St car park entry footpath, south for 150m, west hugging the car park for 120m, then south for 75m back to the starting point. Then head west along the central path going over the wooden boardwalk to Algester Rd, south to Formby St, east for 480m to the Formby St car park entry footpath, then north back to the starting point. For lap two, repeat. For lap three, repeat, but after 792m you’ll reach the finish line located 3m before the disabled car parking space at the end of the Ormskirk St car park. Facilities Free car parks are located on Ormskirk St (main) and Fromby St with additional on-street parking along Fromby Street.The park has many taps, toilets, shelters, barbeques and a spectacular children’s playground. Getting there by public transportThe nearest bus stop (number 79) is on Algester Road between Dellforest Drive and Central Street. Then walk south on Algester Road, and then east on Ormskirk Street to reach the run start. Getting there on footMeet at the central rotunda nearest the Ormskirk Street carpark.
